Membership

What does it mean to be a member of UU Fort Wayne?
Membership to UUCFW indicates a deeper commitment to our shared values, and willingness to support the mission and vision, in time, talent, and financially, as able.
Steps to membership
Membership is available to all persons 18 and older who support the UU Shared Values, complete the Introduction to UU Class and respond to a request for financial support.
Introduction to UU Class
Introduction to UU Class is held two or three times each year. This class is for those who are thinking about joining UUCFW or just want to learn more about our congregation and Unitarian Universalism. It covers UU history, our covenantal shared values, activities and membership expectations.

The next class is on March 15, from 9:30-11:30am.

Attending the class is open to all and is not a commitment to join as a member, but all who wish to become members must attend an introduction class.

Child care for this class is made available as needed.
Signing The Book
Once you’ve taken the membership class, all that’s left to become a member is signing the membership book.

No one from the membership committee will ask you directly to become a member or sign the book. It’s up to you to ask.We want to allow you to decide with no pressure or timeline. Some may ask to sign the day of the class, others may ask a week or two later, and others have waited years.
